Where Are We Headed

Optimist I am, but each day as I scan the headlines and read about daily occurrences, I become a bit more disillusioned as to where we are headed in this country. I fear we are at a point of no return, that we are headed on the downside, for Americans have sat idly by and watched and allowed our country to be taken over by Progressives, Socialists and Marxists, or perhaps in simpler terms, by radicals and extremists.

We are in the midst of total government control. In less than a year we have experienced the sweeping capture of the auto, insurance, and banking industry. Our children are brought up in government schools, the textbooks have been rewritten and our history is excluded and is unrecognizable. See if you can find where the Constitution is being taught? Ask a child about our Founding Fathers?

We have universities and the United Nations excluding and falsifying data in order to produce, manufacture/makeup global warming data... now re-named man-made climate change.
Cap and Trade is being forced upon the world, another financial scheme so that people like Al Gore will become a multi-billionaire at the expense of the individual taxpayer. Taxes are increasing at local, state and federal levels and it appears that we have not yet seen the increases that are to come.

The Obama administration is attempting to now force universal health care down the American's throats despite the fact that the majority do not want it! Rather than address and tackle the major issues of out-of-control costs of Medicare, and tackle Tort reform and the fraud and abuse in the system, these Congressional members of the United States, the leadership of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, are currently looking at how much more they can spend rather than reduce cost... steer $600 million to Vermont in added federal payments for Medicaid and nearly the same to Massachusetts... $100 million for a Connecticut hospital... and who knows how many more bribes are included and tucked beneath the surface? Harry Reid's spokesman said we're going to do what we have to do to get a bill out of the House and Senate.

The lobbyists, special interests and labor Unions rule Washington. We have welfare programs and handouts that accelerate with each passing day. We are staring into the face of total government power and control. Soon your children will be instructed as to what time to show up in the court house square wearing their little brown uniforms and practice calisthenics.

God help us.
